Backpack Buddies: Second grade was able to collect packaged food for children in need. Thank you to the parents who helped make this happen!

Social Studies- We were learning about landforms and students were responsible of understanding and identifying 10 commonly seen landforms. They were in groups of four and were given modeling clay to create their own “country.”

The class projects are out on display in the Elementary building lobby. Please come see how beautiful they are!

Breakfast Time: In health, we taught the importance of eating a balanced morning breakfast. Each day in the week we spent time out of our morning to eat breakfast together and exercise a little. On Friday, the parents came and joined us. It was delicious and fun!

I see PLANETS: In science, we were learning about the sun, stars, and planets. For a field trip, we took the students to the UNC Morehead Planatarium where they got to learn about the planets, earths rotations, and outer space. It truly was a great experience.
