BAKE SALE!
7th Grade will be sponsoring a bake sale on Friday, March 2, 2012. We are asking students and parents to help by providing baked goods. The money raised will be used to purchase a book shelf for the Qur’an. We are in need of one or two parents to help by setting up a table in the middle school and elementary school lobby area during lunch time 1pm – 1:30pm.
Whats Happening in Islamic Studies?
2/11/2012 Islamic Studies will start reviewing the famous play, “The Scholar and The Tyrant.” This is a play about the great scholar and tabi, Sa’id ibn Jubayr and the tyrant Hajjaj ibn Yusuf the governor of Iraq. All middle school students will be given assignments to read the play ad understand its contents. Insha Allah, we will identify students who have the ability to act and put on a play about this great story.
2/11/2012 Middle school will start learning a new supplication, “Du’aa for going to the Masjid”.
This week (14 – 17 February) objective: “Understand the Difference Between Minor and Major Shirk.”
